Our Projects

  1. Turn Ed Up!

An annual gathering of students who are passionate about poverty and education, this annual conference is designed to inspire and motivate youth to do something about this global crisis. We bring together amazing speakers that share their experiences working in development or in education. Turn Ed Up! connects students, school groups, and non-profit organizations for the purpose of creating a meaningful difference as an entire community. Working together, there is no limit to the impact we can have. Email turnedup@helpturnthepage.org for more information.
  2. Page by Page

Half the effort in relieving global poverty is in ensuring that young people here at home are aware of the issues. Through presentations and workshops at local elementary schools, Turn the Page is engaging students at a grassroots level and is helping to raise a generation of globally conscious youth. Page by Page presentations emphasize action and involvement, and call for schools to lead the way. This program is ongoing throughout the school year, and leads to the event Cover to Cover. To see how Turn the Page can bring Page by Page to your school, email pagebypage@helpturnthepage.org.
  3. Cover to Cover

All schools involved in the Page by Page program is invited to this conference designed by elementary students for their fellow peers, A way for schools and students to share their stories on how they’ve supported education during the last year, this is a means by which ideas can be shared and collaborated upon. Cover to Cover celebrates the achievements of our youth community while at the same time reminds us to constantly look for ways to improve and make our impact felt by even more people. Look for updates closer to the event date in late May 2012. Please email covertocover@helpturnthepage.org if you have any questions or inquiries.
  4. Solution Design

The greatest problems are often solved through simple innovation. The Solution Design project connects ideas and applies creative engineering to address prominent issues in developing nations. From water transportation to small-scale electricity generation, we are looking for practical solutions to everyday problems. If you have ideas on a design we can work on or if you have a specific issue you think is important and needs to be addressed, email solutiondesign@helpturnthepage.org.
